Harold Katz opened a retail footwear store with the Knapp shoe franchise when he retired and moved to Tucson from New York in 1978. In 1995 Steven Katz took over the family business of safety shoes and boots and is still there currently to this day serving the local Tucson community, Steve’s son David joined him in 2012 and is currently managing the business with Steve to this day.
